Anna and Nick’s COVID Wedding

Anna and Nick were in for a bumpy ride from the moment Anna said “YES!” when Nick asked her to marry him. What might have been one of the more difficult experiences of their lives ended with a happy ending and a lovely wedding.

The day after Nick proposed, he was rushed to the hospital due to unexplainable fainting spells. Anna’s grandma was rushed to the hospital the same day, and she found herself in an unusual predicament: be with her grandma in the hospital or her new fiancé. She chose her grandmother, a choice Anna was thankful she made when her grandmother passed a way not long later.

When Anna and Nick reached out to me to ask about engagement photos, the novel coronavirus had sent the world into lockdown, and their engagement session seemed up in the air until May when restrictions began to lighten. Their photoshoot was stunning! But between photos, they told me the struggle they’d faced grieving Anna’s grandmother while simultaneously figuring out Nick’s own health issues all while planning a wedding under unpredictable regulations.

3 times their wedding venue changed because of COVID-19! Even on the day of the wedding, Anna called me because her hairstylist had been exposed to the virus, and suddenly plans had changed again.

But despite the chaos leading up to the wedding, the event itself was beautiful and we danced the night away without a hiccup. Take a look at the photos for yourself! A COVID wedding can still be a lovely wedding!
