Piper’s Portfolio Shoot

The first time I saw Piper Talladay’s paintings, I felt like my jaw dropped to the floor - you know, like you see in old cartoons. So when Piper asked me to photograph her most recent equine portfolio, I was ecstatic about the opportunity. Her work was amazing! And who doesn’t like horses?!

When I was a kid, I was obsessed with horses; I read educational books about horses, read adventure horse stories, and played endlessly with my horse figurines. I’ll always have a soft spot for these elegant gentle-giants.

We rented Studio 253 in downtown Tacoma, but due to COVID-19, we were not able to see the space before our appointment. It didn’t matter, because the space was beautiful! Large windows ran the length of the far wall and offered a beautiful view of Tacoma! Coupled with a few well-placed flashes, the studio made the perfect location to showcase Piper and her work!

If you’re like me, and have been unable to visit an art museum in a while due to the pandemic, here is your opportunity! Please enjoy the virtual art gallery of Piper Talladay!
